Pricey but worth it

Okay. It's expensive. And that's even before you factor in a battery. But if you've already bought into the DeWalt XR battery system then it's a great investment. Almost one of those 'how did I do without it' tools. The large swivel angle on the head means more choice in how you direct the light. Two lighting levels cover all your needs; most of the time I use mine on the lower one. The weight of the battery means that it's always stable and the metal hook gives yet more mounting / positioning options. I don't actually know how long one battery charge lasts (and of course it depends which one you're using) but I've been getting absolutely ages out of a 4Ah 18V. An invaluable addition to my toolbox.

Edit. Four month review. I use this a lot. It's surprising how many times you think you're in reasonable light indoors, but a little extra light at the right angle really helps. To reiterate, the swivel mount and the hook make it really versatile.

Great light but watch out if you only have small batteries

I recently purchased one of those Dewalt drill packs that seem like great value with the two batteries and decided I wanted a light to take advantage of the spare battery.
This is a really good work light for throwing light over a pretty wide area. So, if you are in the attic and want to light the whole space it is perfect. If you want to throw a narrow beam through a narrow hole then it is useless. The head tilts (its ratcheted so you don't get infinite options but it does stay in place) and will go past vertical so you can reflect the light off a wall and fill a really good space. The trigger allows for two different light levels.
Only issue is if you use those tiny (1.3A type) batteries that come with a lot of the cheaper drills. First off the battery only lasts five minutes and secondly it can be top heavy. So, if you are going to get one make sure you have some chunkier power packs to go with it

DCL050-XJ Worklight/LED Torch with 3 year warranty

Best things first, was well surprised to find out that this LED worklight has got a 3 year warranty on it. You'll have to register the worklight on the DeWalt website, to get the full 3 years.
The light itself comes in a robust looking and feel to it housing. Connecting it to a 5.0AH battery, it lasted ages before requiring to be recharged. The two light settings don't seem to make too much different and even on the lower setting, it provides a fair amount of light, when working in more confined spaces, like electrical cupboards or, as in my case under the eves in the attic. Standing on the floor, the head can be swiveled 140 degrees in total, upwards in an angle to the ceiling, or straight down, the lowest position is 90 degrees (or straight horizontal).

Really not much else to say, other than that the unit comes in a retail box with user manual and extended warranty registration information. The box only contains the light itself, it comes without a battery.

This product is robust and really lightweight. I've got a range of 18v and 54v flex volt batteries for various dewalt tools so made sense to grab this. All batteries fit it. Seems to get a lot of time per battery which shouldn't be a surprise as it is LED. The product I received is definitely the 1000/300 lumen product. Better as I wanted the newer/ brighter version. Easy to move around/ swivel the head and use the loop which converts into a hanging hook. Makes doing work in awkward space so much easier. Even makes doing work in good light but struggling to properly highlight the specific thing you are trying to do much easier/ safer and quicker.. Very happy to have added it to my growing Dewalt toolbox.

Best work torch I ever bought

Very well built. Looks and feel robust. one simple switch for on/off and high/low light setting. Small difference between high & low light setting. There is a good spread of light and plenty of it. Runs for ages. For a test I put a 5ah battery in it and left it on full. It was still bright after 10 hours. Even after that time it was only warm, no part of it was hot. Very stable sitting on the battery.
I got it from Amazon for the lowest price online in UK. However, it's only worthwhile if you already have a charger and a spare DeWalt XR battery , otherwise, it's going to to a ridiculously expensive torch.
I would strongly recommend it.
