Great little torch this,it is plenty bright enough,it does not have a zoom function,but thats one less thing to have to
mess with.The way it fits in your hand is sublime,very ergonomic,if it was a car,it would be a Alfa Romeo.
No lanyard on it,but I like the clip,so you can secure it inside,or outside your pocket.No messing around with changing out batterys,just plug it into a micro usb cable (android phone type) and leave it charging,a little light changes to blue when fully charged.

Anker products are amazing. I work as a vehicle tech in a main dealership. I had a Anker torch before this which was good but took 3AAA batteries. Got fed up with the batteries wearing out and the light getting dimmer and dimmer until I could be bothered to grab another some fresh batteries from parts. The New usb rechargeable torch is amazing. I think I’ve had it for 2 weeks now and I use it daily on high and medium beams and not had to recharge it once yet. I was expecting to charge it at least after 3 days but it’s still going bright. My only niggle is that the off switch (mode switch) is on the small side and can be a pain to hold down to switch off but you can keep pressing it and go through the modes until it switches off. It’s does get hot if you leave it on without realising and stick it back in your pocket but they is a warning label saying it does get hot.

I have a number of torches. They're usually a similar design - a top and tail which twist off, and a way of zooming the beam.

This one is different. It's not designed to be dis-assembled, and charging is through a micro USB socket.

Initial impressions are very favorable - it seems more solid. The charging works well, and the torch is doing everything I want of it.

Big tip: to turn on and off, hold the button for a second or so. It'll then start in whatever mode you had it on previously.

I'll post again after a winter of using the torch to walk the dog.

What is good far outweighs the one bad point. The light output is excellent and amazing for such a small torch.
The main bad point is that the switch is used for 5 functions most of which will never be used. The switch itself is rather unpredictable sometimes it switches off after a second and some times you need to cycle through thr modes till it switches off. BUT if you need an excellent, sturdy torch with good battery life don't let this review put you off as this review is written for my second of these Anker torches and I have to report being satisfied with the other kit I have bought from this company

Really like this little torch - very bright for its size and USB charging is a mega bonus - the only downside is the need to long press on switch off or it will mean you have to press all the way through the different types of beam OK once you get used to it I suppose

First off I can't seem to add more photos via the Android app. Hopefully I can add more via the Web. Wow what a product. It's brilliant. Everything so far that I want from an EDC torch. Unboxed, and in some amazing packaging with a nice touch thanking you for the purchase.

The outer casing of the torch has a nice feel. It's a good weight and it had charge. The brightness is top notch, I shone it around my room and it lit up the bushes outside the window, and this time of review is just after sunset, so a really good time to test.

It's got different brightness settings upon clicking the button and ends with the flashing setting and then it's off.

If you are after an edc torch, I'd recommend this.

I've purchased this to go in my FUNK Street outfitters EDC bag that is due to arrive this July after backing it on Kickstarter.

Great torch, fits nicely in my hand and has a classy look and feel about it
. I’ve only just started using it over the last few days since receiving it, so early days yet. My feeling is that this is a quality torch and the best I have ever used. I would not usually spend too much on a torch but feel this is worth it. The main beam is excellent and the next beam down gives a less of a strong light but broader beam, the other two flashing lights look good and should be useful if needed. Finally, it’s made by Anker, a quality company with excellent reputation.

Great torch which a very powerful beam, battery seems to last for a few weeks when using it for our nightly dog walk. There are a couple of downsides, the on/off button is on the base of the torch which makes it hard to use and sometimes the button doesn't register the press.

I have a issue with torches, I just love them, I keep buying them, but my goto torch is this one. For the general use I have for torches this one is perfect. Looking for something under the sofa, in the pantry, under the bed... perfect.. Check out the garden at night perfect. Enough brightness and throw to annoy the neighbours but not too much :). charge lasts a long while and to my surprise the torch can be charged and just left in the car for those emergency moment, and always works even after several month of no use and no charge. Great product, very pleased.

Ive had a number of torches that use 18650 batteries or 3 aa batteries in a converter, most of these torches are a pain to charge, I can never locate the poor quality charger. The rest of the torches I've had have been very poor quality. This torch is contains a rechargeable battery charged via micro usb. the battery holds its charge amazingly well and even with infrequent use you can rely on it to be bright and not require a recharge every month.
