The item is very high quality as you could expect from Apple but they don’t deliver a plug with this charger! I could understand even though I disagree with that the iPhone is delivered without plug but come on! A charger without a plug at that price that’s really a prank! Hopefully got it from Amazon warehouse for half the price! Thank you Amazon :)

I tried different variants of cheaper options but charging Apple Watch with a single cable is always problematic on cheaper alternatives. This is the most robust, the most practical, and the most well-made option out there. It's good for desk, good for traveling, and good for bedside tables. Disclaimer: Use a charger that has a power of at least 27W.

Convenient design and great device. However, it wasn’t made clear in the descriptions that it can’t charge an iPhone and AirPod Pro simultaneously. The left side can be used for either iPhone or AirPod Pro wireless case charging, the right side can only be used by iWatch. So, while it is true to claim that it can charge iPhone and AirPod Pro, the reality is that these can’t be done at the same time. Just something to be conscious of.

Build quality is excellent as per expected from Apple. However even when your iPhone magnetically attaches it need to be aligned within a very small margin to charge. Also, as I don’t own an Apple Watch, I expected that the Watch pad could be used to charged my AirPods. Well, it doesn’t and that’s a real shame…

Spesso negli accessori (super costosi) di Apple ho sempre tanta diffidenza dato che non vedo alcun valore aggiunto rispetto ad altre marche ad eccezione del prezzo (e si rovinano velocemente come il cavo di ricarica dell'iPhone o la cover in pelle).

Poi per alcune eccezioni, invece, stupiscono reinventando completamente l'esperienza d'uso di un oggetto che sembrava non poter essere migliorabile, come una semplice e ordinaria base di ricarica iPhone.

VISTA E DESIGN:
Partiamo con ordine, appena aprite la confezione trovate davanti a voi questa magnifica base già aperta.
Bellissima, nella sua tipica tonalità di bianco e nelle sue rifiniture specchiate. Esteticamente sembra un gioiellino e valorizza qualsiasi mobile sulla quale lo appoggiate.

TATTO:
Il tatto è quasi meglio della vista. Materiale morbidissimo, liscio e quasi setoso. Non ho idea di come potrebbe diventare in futuro con il passare del tempo (tanti siliconi infatti nel tempo perdono queste caratteristiche e diventano quasi collose). Aggiornerò questa valutazione in caso dovesse cambiare.

USABILITA':
Progettato benissimo, le due parti della base sono massicce e pesanti in modo da averlo sempre bello steso sul ripiano anche quando non c'è alcun dispositivo appoggiato sopra (vederlo socchiuso e ballerino sarebbe davvero brutto).
Quando lo chiudete i magneti si attraggono tanto da renderlo saldo e robusto (non si aprirà per sbaglio, ma non diventa faticoso per riaprirlo).
Il magnete che carica l'Apple Watch si può alzare per poterlo caricare coricato in modalità notte. Il meccanismo che regola il movimento è fermo e robusto, con un movimento che costringe ad essere lenti ma fluidi e da la possibilità di fermarlo anche a metà corsa.
Da quanto viene detto sul sito, la procedura corretta per la ricarica è quella di inserire prima la presa al muro, quindi il MagSafe Duo controllerà la tipologia di presa (che non è in dotazione). Bisogna attendere circa 3 secondi perché riesca a capire come ottimizzare al meglio la ricarica sui dispositivi, dividendo il flusso elettrico e capendo se idoneo alla ricarica rapida o meno.
Nel caso in cui voi mettiate la presa nel muro con il telefono già appoggiato sopra potrebbe non ricevere una carica ottimizzata e consigliano di togliere il telefono, attente 3 secondi e riposizionarlo.

TRASPORTABILITA':
Anche questa è ottima. Il dispositivo chiuso è abbastanza sottile (sta nella tasca dei jeans come un portafoglio anche se abbastanza spesso e pesante).
Purtroppo raccoglie una marea di pelucchi (facilmente rimovibili soffiandoci sopra) se messo nei jeans quindi consiglio un modo alternativo per trasportarlo.
Piccolo appunto da fare ad Apple, una custodia morbida nella confezione poteva essere gradita.
La cosa davvero intelligente e che mi ha fatto amare questo prodotto è però la possibilità di aprirlo e chiuderlo in modo dinamico:
-Se lo trasportate lo chiudete coi magneti all'interno che rimangono protetti.
-Se dovete caricare due dispositivi lo aprite completamente.
-Se siete a lavoro e dovete caricare in poco spazio solo il telefono, potete chiuderlo al rovescio, in modo da avere i magneti fuori. In questo modo il telefono appoggerà su un "sandwich" un po' spesso ma che non occupa più spazio del telefono stesso.
-Stessa cosa per caricare solo l'orologio (sia a faccia su, sia coricato di lato in modalità notte).

CONSIGLI E AVVERTENZE:
Veniamo agli aspetti più delicati o meno funzionali.
- Il caricabatterie purtroppo NON è incluso. Solita politica dell'ultimo anno Apple.
- Nel packaging è compreso solo il classico cavo USB-C - Lightining.
- Per la ricarica veloce dovrete utilizzare un alimentatore almeno a 20W certificato Mfi (Made for iPhone).
- Sono compatibili tutti i caricabatterie sopra i 20W anche se sul sito è specificato che un alimentatore Apple (non mi ricordo modello e wattaggio) non è compatibile. Detto questo quello consigliato è proprio l'originale da 20W uscito insieme al MagSafe Duo e che costa 25€ (onesto per i prezzi a cui ci ha abituati Apple)
- I caricatori USB di tipo A non sono compatibili, quindi non potete usare cavi USB A - Lightning.
- Il silicone a metà delle due piastre, morbido e pieghevole, è soggetto a deterioramento. Sul sito Apple parlano di normali rughe di deterioramento che però possono essere evitate tenendo la base principalmente aperta. Inoltre invitano a non tenerlo chiuso al caldo (come dentro una macchina d'estate) perché accelererebbe il deterioramento del suddetto silicone.
- Se avete una cover in pelle questa potrebbe manifestare un solco circolare intorno al bordo dei magneti MagSafe. E' una normale conseguenza alla compressione da magneti, ma se si vuole evitare di rovinare la cover (che costa un occhio) consigliano di rimuovere la cover o usarne una in silicone.

Sinceramente questi ultimi aspetti sono un po' fastidiosi per un prodotto che costa una cifra esorbitante, perciò il mio voto è 2/5

Nel complesso rimane un prodotto definitivo che vi farà buttare via tutto quello che avete acquistato in precedenza e che per versatilità e portabilità rivoluzionerà la vostra organizzazione. Se partite per il weekend vi basterà la base, un cavo e una presa. Se come me, a casa avete fatto un cablaggio che risulta noioso da smontare e montare ogni volta, potrete staccare solo la basetta (lasciando il cavo lighting dov'è) e trasportarlo comodamente, tenendovi magari un cavo e un alimentare di scorta a lavoro o dove avete più necessità.

Spero vivamente che il prodotto non si rovini velocemente perchè per ora mi ha fatto ricredere sulla mia valutazione iniziale. Comprato scontato a 119 si può dire che sia un prezzo abbastanza onesto anche se penso che il prezzo giusto sarebbe 89/99€

I thought i'd write a review for anyone who's on the fence about this Charger.

I’m using this with an iPhone 12 Mini, Apple Watch Series 5 and my Apple 18W USB C charging plug I got with last years iPhone 11 Pro.

Charge Time - I honestly couldn't tell you how long it takes to charge, as I typically put my iPhone and Apple Watch on charge at night, and their both at 100% in the morning. The few occasions I have used it on my desk, I've always been pleasantly surprised how quickly my iPhone has climbed. (I don't tend to charge my watch in the day, as I've never drained it fully).

Build - For the money, I hope this does last a long time, but obviously at this stage it's impossible to comment on its long term durability. That being said, it feels very well built, and actually weighs more than I expected.

Cost - I can "justify" it by thinking that Apple will obviously stick with both styles of chargers on their iPhone and Apple Watch for the foreseeable future, so that rules out it being obsolete anytime soon. The fact it doesn't come with a charger doesn't bother me in the slightest, as I personally already have numours Type C plugs at home. So i'm fine with that (They're also not expensive on Amazon either). I think the bottom line on cost is, if you're prepared to pay the cost for this product, you'll likely be happy with what you get. Because the build quality is there, and it does exactly what Apple says it does. It charges your iPhone and Apple Watch at decent speeds.

A few things I wanted to know before buying..

Does it work with USB A to Lightning cable? - Nope, I've tried with multiple chargers and cables.

Does it still charge when its closed (if you only wanted to use the MagSafe charger for instance)? - Yes, it works open or closed with both devices.

Do you have to just use the Apple Lightning to USB C Cable provided? - Nope, I currently use the Anker Flow 3 Cable, as I wanted a 2m cable instead of the 1m provided.

Can you take your iPhone on and off easily with one hand? - YES! Just use 1 finger to hold the base of the charger down, use your thumb as a pivot point, then pull with your remaining fingers. (Its extremely easy despite my rubbish description).

Oggetto di pregio: materiali premium molto gradevoli al tatto e che trasmettono un senso di “robustezza”; l’attacco magnetico funziona perfettamente sia per ricaricare gli iPhone 12 MagSafe che i modelli precedenti che contemplano la ricarica wireless; è bello da vedere. Nella confezione è presente solo un cavo da lightning (dal duo charger) a USB-C. Come avrete ampiamente letto in altre recensioni il caricatore da 20W USB-C non è incluso quindi non disperatevi e se non avete già uno dovrete considerarne l’acquisto. È un caricatore di cui si può farne tranquillamente a meno ma se siete veri appassionati Apple il prezzo e la mancanza del caricatore non vi fermeranno di sicuro perché è un oggetto bello, funziona ed è stiloso. Be Happy e se pensate che questa mia opinione vi potrà essere utile nell’acquisto... un “like” è sempre gradito! :-)

Genau wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte, hohe Qualität, kompakt wenn man es zusammen klappt und daher perfekt zum reisen.

Ebenfalls gut das KEIN Ladegerät beiliegt. Was zum Teufel soll ich noch mit einem weiteren Ladegerät, wenn iPad, iPhone als auch Macbook allesamt eines dabei hatten.

Meiner Meinung nach könnten sie sich auch das Kabel schenken, es liegt unbenutzt im Karton und ich nutze mein vorhandenes iPhone Kabel.

Bitte Abstand nehmen von wilden Behauptungen hier es würde nur mit iphone
12 funktionieren.

Ich nutze es mit meinem iphone X und man kann es über Nacht sehr wohl voll laden, überhaupt kein Problem. Die Ladegeschwindigkeit ist ausreichend schnell.

Wenn man natürlich das Telefon nicht zentriert ablegt, kann die Ladegeschwindigkeit rapide nach unten gehen. Daher funktioniert der Magsafe Duo am besten mit iPhone 12 und integrierten magsafe aufgrund des starken Magneten in der neusten iPhone Generation, liegt das iPhone immer perfekt auf.

Es war aber nicht zu kompliziert die richtige Position für mein iPhone X zu finden und der magsafe duo macht was er soll, ich habe ein vollgeladenes iPhone am Morgen.
Obiges ist dann auch irrelevant wenn man bedenkt das alle heutigen und zukünftigen iPhones Magsafe kompatibel sind.

Ideal for Travel - Beware of the limitations of Wireless Charging

If you are like me and stay away in hotels for work this is ideal - if you need to charge both your iPhone and Apple Watch. Anything that makes life slightly easier is worth paying for. I would agree that the product should have been supplied with the 20w adapter. The 20w adapter makes sense because the foldable plug is ideal for travel, these are approx £20 on Amazon. I was surprised the connector and therefore cable supplied is USB-C to Lightning on the device itself - so much for Apple moving towards USB-C.

I use this with my iPhone 11 Max (with Smart Battery Case) and it works well. The product feels well built and you have the reassurance the product should work with iPhone 13 when it is released.

It is important to note that wireless charging is slower that wired charging, period.
Furthermore, the iPhone 11 which features wireless charging is limited to 7.5w. iPhone 12 supports upto 15w using the Magsafe wireless charging, this is still slower than using 20w adapter and wired cable. [The MagSafe Duo will provide 14w max]. So if you don't have Apple Watch, the MagSafe would be better option as it can charge 1w more.

For more power you may need the 30w adapter which is larger, It is important to remember the limitations of wireless charging, the limitations of smaller power adapters, wireless capability of the devices .There is also a limitation around charging both iPhone and Apple Watch. Regardless, this is a great device and is quick enough for charging, too often people get bogged down with theoretical values and figures.

Oh one of point, it can be difficult to use the device when its on charge compared to wired.
