My new Black and Decker DVJ325BF arrived this afternoon (24th May). Being a UK purchaser, I was surprised and disappointed to find the cleaner was fitted with a European two pin plug. to plug into the mains. Obviously I had expected the cleaner to have a UK 3 pin 13 amp. plug, rather than a 2 pin European plug to connect to the mains supply.
I don't know whether the electrical performance of the cleaner will be affected, or compromised, by connection to the mains with a two pin into three pin plug. The two pins are a little loose in the fitting I am using. If there is a risk of damage or under-performance, I would like my cleamer to be replaced with a UK model with a 13 amp plug. If a European 2 pin plug into a UK 3 pin 13 amp socket will not affect the performance, I would request you send me a suitable new plug converter, hopefully free of charge since I have paid a full price for this Black and Decker cleaner.
