Was this actually by Faith Martin - unbelievable.
I love the Hillary Greene books. Quite like the Ryder and Loveday books, Jenny Starling less so. But I shall not be reading any more Maxine Barry books. I even found myself skimming it and eventually going to the end.
If you have not read other Faith Martin books do not judge her by this and try the Hillary Greene books.

I don't normally give up on books or offer bad reviews, but it was so boring. I expected an exciting mystery with a bit of romance thrown in. It was slow and every port of call literally was that - the same boring bodice ripping torrid scene amidst the sight-seeing. Yawn. I fast forwarded it to the end and was so glad I hadn't wasted any more time reading it.
