I was loving this book until 80% in. Until then it was interesting, sexy, and sweet. Then at 80% in she over hears something and has a TSTL moment. Instead of confronting one of them she runs off like she hasn’t
gained any wisdom since the last time she ran off ten years before. Then she has the biggest TSTL moment I have ever read in a book. I wanted to smack her face. It ruined the whole book for me. I don’t care, there is no way these two guys are just gonna be ok with her running away constantly and her stupid, impulsive decisions.
Another thing it felt more like Damien & Sophia’s book and Jillian got what was left.

Full disclosure: I think most authors botch the enemies to lovers trope. I think they let the ‘heroes’ get away with heinous acts against the heroine, who then accepts less of an apology than she deserves (and often she doesn’t get one at all). I expected that with this book. And I was wrong. THANK GOODNESS! I even put off reading this book until I was in a place where I could tolerate a less than deserving hero (or heroes, as the case is here).

Color me surprised to discover I didn’t have to put off reading this book. Tara handles the enemies to lovers trope with class, helping all of her characters grow and heal along the way. Thanks, Tara. This more than makes up for the previous 3 enemies to lovers books I returned unfinished because I couldn’t stomach them.

Written in triple first person POV. Good amount of M/f/M sexy times (not even a hint of M/M). No real humor but I wasn’t expecting any. There is an author’s note stating that this book deals with fertility issues and to skip it if that stresses you out. Heed that warning because it’s mentioned a lot. Too much actually. As is how much Damien’s company is worth and Julien’s relationship with his sister. Overall, the book wasn’t long but would have been shorter if the unnecessary repetition was removed. Still has a HFN and was worth reading.

On a side note, this book can be read as a standalone even though it’s part of a series. Previous MCs are mentioned but you’ll be fine if you didn’t read any of the other books.
