Professor Peter C. Gøtzsche co-founded the Cochrane Collaboration in 1993 and has become one of the most respected academics of his time. A very sad story. The author recounts events that - if accurate - represent the utter failure of a charitable organisation and all regulators involved in the operation of charitable organisations. Based on previous works there seems no reason to doubt that the book is an accurate description of events. The book is well written, but what matters is its existence, documenting a dark period in medical science.
