Recensione di mia sorella:
Si fa decisamente fatica a reperire queste spugnette, le ho ordinate a fine aprile e mi sono arrivate due settimane fa (pagate 8€ e spicci). Non avevo fretta, avendo altre spugnette tradizionali a disposizione, mi è comunque sembrata un po' strana questa lunga attesa e avevo anche perso un po' le speranze ormai. L'idea è ottima, l'esecuzione un po' meno, ma è un buon inizio.
Pro: compostabile - direi che batte qualsiasi contro. Morbida.
Contro: Fragile e che perde colore (si ostinano a fare le spugnette rosa - tutte le spugnette rosa/viola provate, di qualsiasi marca, mi hanno sempre perso il colore ai primi lavaggi, tutte. Queste non fanno eccezione).
Fragilità dicevo, perché in queste due settimane ne ho usata una quasi tutti i giorni, lavandola tutti i giorni ed è già piena di tagli, stamattina poi mi si è fatta una voragine davanti... ma stende il fondo ed il correttore benissimo lo stesso. Se mi dura un mese per me va bene, considerando che una spugnetta tradizionale, tipo RT o BB, mi dura circa sei mesi, ma poi non è né riciclabile né tantomeno compostabile...
Come sensazione al tatto è simile alle spugnette di RT, non alle classiche verdi di Ecotools (ne ho avuta solo una almeno due anni fa, è quella che mi ha fatto innamorare dell'utilizzo della spugnetta: era più porosa di questa, ma anche quella si era distrutta nel giro di un mese).
Si lava normalmente con una saponetta di marsiglia, ma bisogna essere super delicati e anche così si creano tagli facilmente.
Diventa bella grande bagnandola (come visibile nella foto - appena lavata) ed ha una buona elasticità, l'applicazione del fondotinta risulta piacevole. Assorbe come altre spugnette solite. Per il correttore la uso, ma non mi piace troppo, preferirei la classica forma a goccia che mi permette di andare bene ai lati del naso, ma forse è solo questione di abitudine.
Insomma io la ricomprerò sicuramente (sperando rimanga disponibile) per l'aspetto ecologico. Sperando che altre aziende seguano l'esempio di Ecotools e ci mettano a disposizione anche loro prodotti a basso impatto ambientale.
Ah, il pack mezzo in plastica era ben evitabile eh...

Benutze die Schwämme immer wieder. Super weich und können auf den Kompost. Einzigen Nachteil ist dass die Schwämme sich schneller zersetzen als die normalen Schwämme. Dennoch 5 Sterne, weil man die Schwämme regelmäßig ersetzen sollte. Wenn die Schwämme sich langsam zersetzen ist ohnehin Zeit für einen Wechsel.

Ich hatte einige Zeit auf die Schwämme warten müssen. Dies hat sich gelohnt, der Schwamm ist super um z. B. Concealer oder Foundation zu verblenden.

This is a soft and squidgy makeup sponge, and has been perfect for blending liquid foundation. The soft squidgyness, makes it easy to blend and apply, as you need to dampen the sponge and squeeze excess water to use. It’s able to hold the pigment so I’ve been able to get good coverage using this blander. The tip is tapered to it’s also good for getting the tight hard to reach areas around the eyes. It’s light and porous, so keeping it clean and damp free hasn’t been a problem. As long as it’s cleaned at least once a week, it should last the full month before needed to be replaced. The packaging (minus the plastic) and the blender itself is biodegradable so very eco-friendly, you can even choose to dispose of it by planting it in the ground.

These soft and beautiful blenders are simply amazing, they look, feel and perform exactly the same as my favourite beauty blenders from the famous brand, but with one major difference, these are 100% biodegradable.

Once trashed, it will take just six-months for them to break down. They are made from 5 natural ingredients which are corn, water, biomatter (Bionanopol), natural colourant, and natural preservative. It’s good to know that the lovely vibrant purple colour is safe to use on my face. They are Fusc and USDA certified, Vegan & Cruelty free.

They are specially designed with three distinct edges to fit and contour the face easily. I find that they blend out concealer and foundation flawlessly, and work best when damp (I use Tarte Creaseless concealer and MAC Pro Longwear foundation), the results were comparable to that of my previous beauty blenders. It’s recommended to clean them once a week and replace them every 30-day.

In short, these organic beauty blenders blend beautifully as good as my non-biodegradable ones. For the current price of £9.90 for a duo bio-blenders, they are not the cheapest on the market, but since they are biodegradable, they are very good for the environment and the earth, I will continue to purchase them when needed. I would highly recommend them.

Good for my liquid foundation and baking with loose powder

I am very happy with this makeup sponge.
I did order the double pack though but was sent a single.
The sponge feels soft, very smooth and makes applying my liquid foundation super easy.
The rounded side is great for bouncing the foundation onto my skin and the flat side is fab for baking with loose powder under my eyes and for contour.
I find that i can achieve a flawless base with ease and if I dampen the sponge with my setting spray, it works even better.
To clean, I use a little mild baby soap and it looks nice and clean.
I am very happy with the sponge and love the fact that it can be planted when it needs to be replaced.
The price is in my opinion very reasonable, I will continue to buy these.

Felt good and removed all traces of makeup

I usually just wash my face with a face wash and water or facial wipes, followed by toning lotion.
This little sponge cleanser is really soft, expands slightly whilst wet and produced a good lather with my face wash. It felt really nice cleansing my skin using this and definitely got it cleaner than without. I know this as there were no traces of makeup whatsoever ever after I cleansed and followed up with a toner on a white cotton pad, usually traces would remain. Really easy to wash clean afterwards and has a little string to hang and dry ready for the next use. It’s a little larger than a standard cotton pad and eco friendly as it can be planted when finished with. The packaging is eco friendly/ recyclable which is a huge bonus. Definitely preferred using this and happy with results. A much more eco friendly solution compared to facial wipes / cotton pads. Would recommend!

So far I have used the sponge to apply concealer and have found it pretty good though like most sponges it does absorb a lot of the product.
It expands in water and becomes lovely and soft, wasn’t the best at getting into the contours of the face, especially the eye area, but it was ok.
Though I do prefer the idea that it can be put into the he compost when it start to breakdown in a months time I do think buying one every month could be seen as an unnecessary expense over a brush that can last for years.
It does come with some seeds on the back of the pack but there are no instructions as to what seeds they are or how to grow them which is a shame.
Bit of a shame as well that there was plastic included in the packaging.
Overall I think that the product does work well and the quality is decent, don’t know if I’d be buying it again though.

Really easy to use

Comes in a minimalist small box which is mainly FSC certified paper and printed with soy ink, this packaging is also certified biodegradable when planted within a home compost environment as stated in the box. This is with the exception of a small plastic insert providing a window into the box.
The mitt itself is round and purple coloured, about the size of a Jaffa cake, forming a pocket which you can slide two or three fingers into, to then massage your cleanser onto your face. It works really well and I like using it more than I thought I would and it certainly saves me using and throwing away cotton wool pads!
It has a little cotton string loop for hanging up to dry after use and is suggested you replace every 30 days
