This was my first book by Colleen Hoover. My friend recommended it to me and I absolutely loved reading it.
I found the story very heartbreaking but could not stop reading. The way Colleen writes is very detailed but soft and I experienced a lot of emotions while reading the book.
I admire the story and the main characters and would recommend reading this book because once you read it you are in love with the book. I also purchased other books from Colleen after reading this one and now I am addicted to her books :)!

i hated this book, it felt like i was reading a fanfiction and it was all very predictable. i didn’t like a single character from the book and it romanticized abuse in a weird way that made me feel disgusted every time i tried to pick it up and read it.

“You can stop swimming now, Lily. We finally reached the shore.”

This was my first book by Colleen Hoover. And I don't know why it took me so long to start it. But am so glad I finally did.

My emotions are beyond description right now. I'm also staring at this screen and barely know where to begin. This book was heartbreaking.

This book is so beautifully written. I have laughed, cried, been nervous with my heart rate too high. This book brought about so many emotions that are impossible to describe.
When I was reading the "Note from the author" I cried my eyeballs out.

I admire how strong Lily is.

I will never forget this book and I think I will be thinking about this story a lot in the coming weeks.

I put this book off for so long and no idea why. Now I want to give you as advice to read this book! I knew nothing about this book and I'm glad I did. I think the less you know the better.

I bought this book because of raving reviews about it on TikTok. Well the power of social media worked because I bought it and I can’t say I was anywhere as impressed as I thought I would be. In fact I wanted to stop reading it several times because it felt so cheesy. The storyline and events were sad topics but three quarters of the book was a cheesy love story that often made me cringe. As a lover of chick lit, even this was too much for me. I personally wouldn’t recommend. Sorry.

I bought this because of the reviews. I have not read any of Ms. Hoover’s books, so I didn’t know what to expect. However, 100 pages in and I’m not going to finish. This is a bodice ripper “romance” novel. Not even a well written one, frankly. It’s baffling that books like this still sell in 2020! Nothing empowering. Women swoon over handsome doctors and sleep with them even when they “aren’t that kind of girl” because the doc is handsome and rich so...”let me go pretty myself up so he can have his way” blah, blah. What rubbish! I seriously don’t understand the reviews, but then again I never read any of that “50 Shades”garbage so I guess there is a market, it just isn’t me.
Anyway, don’t expect great literature with this one. In fact, set expectations really low and maybe you can get through it. Me? Life is too short to waste any of it on crappy books.

This book was sitting on my shelf for so long. Finally, I decided to read it for Backlistbookathon.

I'm not a Romance lover and definitely not a Colleen Hoover lover. This book was yet again just like her other books: characters with horrifying past, they meet suddenly, sparks flew, fall in love at first sight, and etc.

Whole plotline was predictable. I could tell from the start what was going to happen.

Writing was not that amusing too. I find it simple and well it's a good thing. I don't mind simple writing as long as plotline is good.

But here that was not the case. Just after reading two or three pages I started cringing. Every page was cringe worth.

Only good thing was the attempt to send a message through of domestic violence and the helpline number and resources at the end.

And that just ends with that.

I'd heard so much about Colleen Hoover, I just had to see what all the fuss was about - so I picked up this book, and boy was I glad I did. It Ends With Us is compulsively readable with a heartbreaking and powerful story. The characters are so well drawn, there is no black and white here - which is hugely important considering the subject matter. To make your reader fall in love with a character and also hate them is quite a feat. I also really liked the simple yet sharply observed descriptions of how the characters moved; I don't think I've ever visualised that so vividly, and it really added to the action in each scene. I was completely drawn in and sat staring at the book long after I'd finished it. Thank you Colleen Hoover for bravely writing this story.
