The series continues very nicely with this book. We are now told Lady Amelia's and Lord Montague 's story. Oh my! it never ceases to amaze me how narrow minded, and unkind the upper echelon was during the Recency period. Lady Amelia was treated with disrespect because she had a disability, which affected her walking not her intelligence as many thought was the case. When Lord Montague met Lady Amelia he was very protective of her but his intentions were not honourable initially it is only as he takes stock of his previous actions that he becomes an 'adult' to my mind.
Again the book was well written and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Inner beauty at its best in both main characters and the surrounding cast. A childish mistake with lifelong consequences and powerful learning in the end. Excited to see how the whole story 'ends'. I will be reading the next one, too.

The H in this store is a shallow wimp who is to be pitied, not admired. That was the first thing that bugged me. Second is the lack of story and character development. I'm sorry to say that this book is just blah... If you like wimpy heroes, then this is the book for you.
