Great accurate filament. Color is a little light buy that's okay.
Fiberlogy green silk has a more saturated green colour but not worth the extra costs over this Giantarm filament.

🔬Test de cette Bobine Geeetech Siver Gris Filament PLA 1.75mm

J'ai comme d'habitude fait le tour d'amazon pour essayer de trouver le meilleur rapport qualité prix, avant de tenter de choisir cet article.

Les + 👍:
- super adhérence plateau chauffé à 60°
- Après une tour de température pour moi c'est 205° pour la buse
- buse en 0,4mm
- Un rendu Brillant gris superbe
- filament bien calibré 1,74 mm à 1,77mm sur un test de 50cm
- filament parfaitement tenu à la bobine, ce qui évite la cata , à l'ouverture d'un sachet trop bousculé pendant les transport.
- une bobine bien enroulée, mais pas linéaire

Les - 👎:
- un filament qui n'est pas linéaire.

💰 Est-il selon moi un bon rapport qualité prix ?

Pruebas realizadas:
- Torre de temperatura (Foto)
Filamento brilla a partir de los 205ºC, aunque se vuelve frágil a partir de los 215ºC inclusive.
Los voladizos son prácticamente iguales en toda la torre, aunque destacan como mejores los del rango anteriormente indicados: 205-210ºC.
- Modo VASE
o Normal (Foto jarron low-poly), Boquilla 0.4mm
Impreso a 210ºC, a una velocidad de 40mm/s (CURA). Flexibilidad media con este grosor de impresión.
o Sobre-extrusión (Foto jarron 2) a 0.6mm de ancho de impresión, Boquilla 0.4mm, Altura de capa 0.3mm.
Impreso a 220ºC, con boquilla de 0.4, sobre-extruído a 0.6 y un flujo de 125%. Velocidad de extrusión de 35mm/s. A mayor velocidad hay problemas de atascos.
- CUBO 0.8mm FLOW
Prueba realizada para la comprobación y ajuste del flujo para conseguir la mayor precisión del objeto a imprimir. Flujo ideal +-100%. (Incluido en la foto global)
- Tacita flotante (Fotos)
El efecto conseguido con este filamento es espectacular. Literalmente parece oro líquido brotando desde la taza.

En resumen, un filamento muy lustroso a buen precio. Hay que ser bastante meticuloso con las configuraciones del fileteador que se use, No admite elevadas sobre-extrusiones ni muy altas velocidades(almenos con mi ender 3 stock).
Los resultados obtenidos son increíbles. LO RECOMIENDO!

Top ! Farbeffekt über Temperatur regelbar !

Meine Farbwahl war "Silky Royal Blue".
Für gewöhnlich Drucke ich PLA mit 200 - 210 °C.
Hier erschien der Druck aber eher als Blau Metallic. Zudem hatte ich den Eindruck dass das Material sehr "flüssig" ist.
Also bin ich Schrittweise mit der Temperatur runter gegangen.
Unter Verwunderung stellte ich fest, dass sich der Glanzeffekt durch die Temperatur regeln lässt ! Geile Sache !
205 - 210 °C - Hochglanz Metallic. Je mehr die Temperatur abgessenkt desto tiefer wurde der Blauton. Der Metalliceffekt schwächt minimal ab. Unter 200°C stellte sich dann der Seidenglanz-Effekt ein. Der "Sweetspot" war bei mir genau 197°C. Dann erhält man eine schöne seidig schimmernde Optik.

Da die Temperaturanzeige von Drucker zu Drucker schwankt, darf man mich nicht auf das Grad genau festnageln ;)
Alles in allem aber ein gutes Material!
Die Aufspulung könnte sauberer sein.
Das Abwickeln hat aber bisher noch keine Probleme bereitet.
GEEETECH hat einen neuen "Fan" gewonnen.

I purchased this Geeetech Gold Silk PLA filament to produce a Stargate themed cosplay hand ornament for a lady who contacted me on Facebook. After that was finished I decided to see the quality the filament could produce so I downloaded the STL for this low-poly vase from thingiverse.

The texture and sheen of the finished vase can't really be captured very well, but it looks and feel spectacular. I printed it on my TEVO Tornado at 0.15mm layer height, at 210/60 for the first 3 layers and then 195/40 for the remainder. I sliced it in Cura and used vase mode.

The 20CM tall vase took around 4 hours to print.

This is the umpteenth reel of Geeetech PLA I've purchased and I've been impressed with all of it.

Ok, so in the interest of full disclosure, i was brought to this item on amazon via a post on Facebook from someone saying that if I buy this, test it, and review it, I would get the purchase price refunded to me. So obviously some of you are thinking i'm a sucker and shouldn't have trusted this offer, but, I wanted some gold filament anyway and had absolutely no idea on what brand to buy so i though screw it and bought this one.

Another disclosure, I have only been 3D printing for a couple of weeks so I am still getting used to the tips, tricks and settings adjustments within slicing software and printer setups etc. I am however, a very technically minded person (Software Developer) so I do have a knack for tech stuff.

Now that all of the boring stuff is out of the way, lets talk about the product! The filament arrived in adequate packaging. Vacuum sealed etc. All good there.!

The filament fed well from the spool into the extruder. The shine of the filament is stronger on the spool than it is once it has been extruded which gives a little false hope. Once the print is finished you are left feeling a little underwhelmed. I must admit, this filament does have more of a shine to it than other filaments but its not enough of a difference to get excited about.

I wanted to use this filament to print a wedding ring. I had a real, metal ring when i got married but I lost weight and the ring ended up not fitting and kept coming off my finger and ended with me losing it a few times. I haven't worn a ring in about 4 years now; always having then intention of buying a new one but other cool things to buy keep springing up such as 3d printers (lol). When I got my printer (Creality Ender 3 Pro) I, jokingly, made a ring for myself from blue filament. It fit very well and was rather comfortable. The nerd side of me justified it enough to wear it 24/7...... Why not? So when the idea of printing it in gold crossed my path, I was keen.

So now i have two rings to compare. One blue, one gold(ish). I have to say, the overall print quality between the two filaments is vast. The blue is so much better than the gold. The gold filament had so much stringing and deviations it was unreal.

I printed some hardboard clip things too in this filament as i wanted a metallic look. I think the colour is "OK" but the gleam isn't as desired.

Overall I think this filament is ok. out of 10 i'd give it a 6. it sticks to the bed well. the overall quality of the print is average. It works fine but under close inspection the imperfections are too obvious for anything requiring high definition. I would suggest this is good for large sided objects. Maybe even gold ingots but for the smaller prints, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Bonjour à tous,

J’ai le plaisir de vous présenter une petite revue du filament GEEETECH SILK COPPER que j’ai testé pour vous.

Le colis m’est parvenu moins de 24h après ma commande sur AMAZON (prime). Le colis était parfaitement conditionné. La bobine étant sous blister et sous vide accompagnée d’un sachet de silicate anti-humidité. Après quelques vérifications au pied à coulisse numérique, j’ai pu constater que le filament a un diamètre régulier 1,75 mn (il est a noté qu’après l’utilisation complète de la bobine, aucun nœud ni boucle sont à signaler).

Concernant le filament, j’ai commencé mes essais par une tour de chaleur variant de 190° à 230°.

Aucune indication concernant les températures n’était inscrite sur la boite et la bobine.

Les résultats montrent que la température idéale se situe entre 205° et 215°.

Viennent ensuite les tests du lit d’impression : mes essais ont été effectués sur un miroir, entre 50° et 60° l’adhésion est parfaite. J’ai également entrepris une impression sur un lit non chauffé et là il s’avère que de la 3D lac est nécessaire pour une bonne prise de la première couche.

A propos des hauteurs d’impression, j’ai effectué des prints avec des hauteurs variables allant de 0,10 à 0,4 mm. Sur toute cette plage, je n’ai noté aucune difficulté d’impression et aucune occlusion de la buse. Il est cependant à noter que 0,10 mm soit la limite la plus basse avant d’éventuels bouchons ou jamm. (Ce filament comporte de fines particules de matière donnant l’aspect du cuivre).

En conclusion, le résultat de mes différentes impressions est bluffant et parfait. Chaque couche est parfaitement alignée et les petites particules donnant l’aspect cuivre lustré masquent totalement les stries des hauteurs de couche donnant un résultat parfaitement lisse comme du cuivre.

Dommage que GEEETECH n’est pas pensé à proposer des bobines en carton recyclable.

les prints ci dessous ont été réalisés sur une A20M ( TM2208 / Damper moteur / extruder Bondtech / marlin2 custom ) / température 215°/55°/ vitesse 60mms / slicer CURA 4 )

Im a firm believer in only buying filament over £20, a rule which came about after buying cheap filament and being frustrated for hours on end
So now I make a purpose of only buying stuff over 29
Ive bought a couple of Geetech rolls in the past mainly boring black and white, and I wanted something with a wow factor for a present and knew its what i needed
Straight from get go with 205 as nozzle temp and 65 at bed, it stuck brilliantly, no issues whatsoever
Made this very crisp vase (though ill admit my extrusion problems were present before and they're not as bad as usual with this filament)
I thought it might be glorified yellow but it really is a shiny gold! Really really happy with it!
Overall i have had lots of success with Geetech filament, and this is no exception, as far as brands ive tried, this seems to definitely be near the very top alongside Filaprint
Decent and affordable!

So, after a good experience with the Geeetech White filament, I thought I'd give something sparklier a try.

This is an interesting filament, unlike most I've used it's pretty hard to snap off the reel. It adheres to my Prusa i3 Mk3S smooth PEI bed like nothing I've ever seen - I've taken to cleaning the bed less when using this or it can actually be hard to get parts off! If you just want a PLA to stick to the bed well, buy this and don't bother reading the rest! I really mean it, I've never encountered anything like this in terms of bed adherence.

I kept the settings to the Prusa defaults, which I've generally had a lot of luck with, so 60 degrees on the bed and 215 degrees on the hotend.

So far I've printed a brush holder, which is nice and shiny, and then thought I'd try some multimaterial prints.

The thing about multimaterial prints on the Prusa with the MMU2S, is that it has to repeatedly unload and load the filament into the nozzle. The 2 colour benchy at 0.1mm layers I printed, changed filaments 335 times during the print, the other filament used in it was Geeetech Marble.

If a filament is too stringy, too soft, snaps easily, or generally uneven, multimaterial prints like this are an utter nightmare, of failed loads followed by beeping for you to manually intervene.

I didn't have a single failed load during this print (or during the star trek bade, but that one was only a few loads). I'm really impressed!

And, to cap it all off, like the other Geeetech filaments I've tried, the price on this is definitely right.

Das ist nicht meine erste Rolle silk silver von geetech aber die aktuelle ist totaler Mist. Ich habe das 3. Mal, dass das Filament nicht mehr transportiert wird. Ich habe jetzt zig Stunden und die halbe Rolle in die Tonne gekloppt. Das hatte ich bisher noch mit keinem Filament, selbst das schrottige, das vom Druckerhersteller mitkam, hat sowas nicht gemacht. Jetzt kann ich ein großes Projekt ganz von vorne anfangen, 80 Stunden und 2 Rollen für die Katz. Muss ich mir wohl einen anderen Hersteller suchen. Schade.
Nachtrag:
Das Transportproblem ist wahrscheinlich entdeckt: Der Aufkleber auf der einen Rollenseite ist etwas zu groß geraten. Im Rohr wurde er nach Innen umgeklebt. Da er nicht nur aus Papier sondern auch einer Folienschicht besteht hat es gereicht, dass er durch die Bewegung aufgeklappt ist und sich dann am Halter verfangen hat. Mal wieder eine Glanzleistung der Produktentwickler. Ich hatte danach zwar noch einen 8h Job, der in der Mitte einfach mal ein Schicht fast nicht gedruckt hat und einfach durchbrach aber keine kompletten Aussetzer mehr. Ich werde jetzt versuchen, das Projekt zu Ende zu bringen und die Geld-zurück-Garantie testen.
Nachtrag2:
Vergesst den Verkäufer und seine Geld-zurück-Garantie. Alles nur leere Versprechungen. Was auch immer aus dem Filament geworden ist, abgesehen von dem bekloppten Aufkleber habe ich nur noch Transportprobleme. Das Filament wird regelrecht geschält vom Extruder. Ich habe in letzter Zeit mit 6 verschiedenen Filamenten gedruckt und kein anderes hat solche Probleme gemacht.
