Volume Two was just as wholesome and heartwarming as Volume One; these books make me so happy when I read them.

I didn't realise I liked girls until a couple of months before my 21st birthday and I've been through a journey of thinking I just liked this one girl, then coming out as bisexual, and last year coming out as a lesbian. And I'm very lucky to not have received any backlash and had an easy journey with my sexuality, but I can imagine if I had thought I was gay when I was a teenager then these books would have helped me so much.

Volume Two in particular really explores Nick's sexual identity, something which I haven't seen in many other books, as most characters I've read have been sure of themselves. It also explored him coming out which is a theme I've seen other books but it was so beautifully done in this one and made me a tad emotional.

I love that we have updated character cards in the back of this book (updated from Volume One) and the addition of the mini comic which was so cute!

Now I need to get Volume Three..

I love this series, I cannot praise it enough. The topics it coversI feel are so relevant from dealing with sexualities at a young age to different mental health issues. It is literally impossible not to fall in love with Nick and Charlie (also they're friends).

The characters are all diverse which I love as books should be normalising LGBTQ+ characters and giving them air time. So big up the representation. My bff, who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community has literally given her heart to this series and loves what Alice Oseman has created.

These books are super quick to read, I read both Vol 2 and Vol 3 in the same day in a matter of hours, the graphics are easy to follow and you can't help but get attached to the story. When I read these there was two weeks left before Vol4 was released. It's very rare I drop my current read for a just delivered book but you can bet that's what I did for Vol 4.

I need more of this series immediately. I highly recommend anyone of any age group reads this series. It has so much potential to help teenagers see they are not alone but also do the same for an older audience.

Volume two of the series continues from volume one as you would expect. Nick and Charlie are now best friends. Charlie discovers more about himself and his friends and family while Nick begins to make some startling discoveries himself.

Through this volume, we see how Charlie and Nick’s friendship grows and blossoms, but some very confusing things happen which leave both boys confused and unsure of their feelings. Love works in some surprising ways and none more so here.

I really enjoyed the character development throughout this book and how the intrigue grows and draws you into Nick and Charlie's story. It leaves you with some questions too, has their relationship changed? Could Nick like Charlie in the same way or was it just one big mistake? Can they recover their friendship after this?

Precious. Nick and Charles are so so precious and their new love is so sweet and wholesome. This graphic novel continues to fill my heart with so much warmth! 🥰 This volume focused heavily on Nick and his journey with his sexual identity. Young love, especially when you're figuring out your identity, is fragile and often so confusing, but I loved the patience and kindness that Nick received as he was figuring things out. Not gonna lie, I hated his friends but I'm glad that Oseman had these characters in the book because those haters are always going to exist, and I loved the way Nick stood up for himself and for Charlie. I hope that he ends up getting to know Charlie's friends more in the next volume—Nick 100% deserves to have amazing and supportive people in his life and not the d*chenuggets he currently calls friends.

I loved this so much! This was really beautifully written, and I loved seeing Nick's journey through understanding his own feelings and his relationship with Charlie. It was really nice to get some bi rep and an exploration of not understanding your own sexuality or identity.
I love both Nick and Charlie's families, and Charlie's friends, as they're all so sweet and kind and supportive and it's just overwhelmingly heartwarming.
I really love this series, because even though it has its dramas and moments of confusion and worrying about the characters, it's all handled in such a beautiful way that really makes this feel like such happy read.
