Have never had issues with set-up of smart gadgets, having plenty around the home. This is the first smart light that has ever had connectivity issues, even after being replaced once already.

Issues: would not connect to the ledvance smart app, but managed to somehow connect to the alexa app, then intermittently working/not working with alexa. Now would not reset after trying their reset procedure. Money wasted as I can’t even return it now that the packaging has been destroyed…

I’ve bought a replacement from another brand which is working fine.

Set up was a pain then tried doing a factory reset and it stopped working so checked the bulb and noticed the stem of the bulb was really hot so over heated which is why it dont work not really worth the money

"Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue." So goes the song by Peggy Lee. However, these are merely seven of the sixteen million colours offered by this lightbulb. In order to have included the other 15,999,993 within her song, she would have needed to spend a great deal more time researching the more obscurely named nuances of a Dulux colour chart.

After inserting the bulb, it's quite easy to install the associated app and then get down to picking your favourite hue. The light is controlled via a Bluetooth link rather than WiFi, which means that you'll need to be in reasonably close proximity. It doesn't greatly bother me that I can't adjust the colour from afar. However, it could potentially have been entertaining to anger my wife by turning the lights on and off at random whilst out at work. As it stands, I can only annoy her this way from directly within my home.

The novelty of having different colours wears off fairly quickly in my opinion. However, it is quite useful to be able to either dim or turn off the lights from in bed, without need to use the light switch. If you're looking for this kind of function then it should work fine for you. I don't particularly like the silly company name of LEDvance (which I think was an ill LEDvised choice), although fortunately it has no bearing upon the functionality.

Got Hot & Stopped Working After Couple Of Hours

Review for LEDVANCE LED lamp, Base: B22d, RGBW, 2000…6500 K, 10 W, Replacement for 60 W Incandescent Bulb, Smart+ Classic Multicolour [Energy Efficiency Class A] [Energy Class A].

I tried to get this to work. Downloaded the accompanying app as suggested, registered the app, tried to add the device. After several attempts kept failing to add the bulb as a device. Factory reset as suggested but to no avail. The bulb then mysteriously stopped working and won't even power on, disconnecting it I noticed the top of the stem was unusually hot to the touch, seems like the build has failed after only about a dozen uses and won't even power on. Poor build quality as I have had cheaper Chinese made smart bulbs for a while which have proved much more reliable.

Ordered for my light loving daughter.The bulb is very simple to install my daughter had it upstairs App downloaded and light creating atmosphere for Friday the 13th gaming marathon before I knew it lol.I have smart bulbs in all the rooms but they are just white bulbs and she wanted something more in fitting with room so was delighted to test this.Iv had bulbs in past that were a nightmare to connect but my daughter said simply downloaded App followed few instructions of turn on turn off and was connected.She loves all the colours,can also be dimmed and be plain white light for days gaming atmosphere not required 😊.Easy to connect and operate and reasonably priced for quality

I am not sure if you're allowed to mention that other assistant that isn't alexa, but since our alexa blew up while playing some music (true story) we have been using the other one, the one that isn't apple.
All I did was go into the home app, search for new devices, I think I chose bluetooth, and it popped up. I didn't even have to choose the brand. And now it works. I can change brightness and colour from the home app.
The only annoying thing I guess is that because it's not zigbee, it's not controllable from hue things, but I'll just yell at the smart assistant I guess.

Avendo in casa un abat jour regalatomi qualche anno fa, con attacco a baionetta, ho voluto affidarmi a questa lampadina a marchio Ledvance (che nasce dalla più famosa azienda osram) per aggiungere un tocco di stile e di atmosfera alla camera da letto.

La lampadina è di buona fattura complessiva, robusta anche se realizzata interamente in plastica (tranne l’innesto ovviamente) e, grazie alle funzioni che la rendono smart è possibile variare il colore, l’intensità ed impostare un timer.

La configurazione è semplice e richiede circa 2 minuti, installando l’app dedicata ledvance e aspettando che la lampadina venga rilevata (ricordandosi di abilitare il bluetooth ed il gps sul telefono).

Ad operazione conclusa basterà installare la skill ledvance su alexa e dopo pochi secondi la lampadina sarà presente tra i dispositivi connessi alla rete domestica.

La lampadina è pronta per essere comandata da app o tramite comandi vocali (compatibile con alexa e google home) e si rivela reattiva e dalla buona resa luminosa a fronte di un consumo di 10 watt (equivalenti ai 60 watt di una lampada tradizionale ad incandescenza).

Promossa dal punto di vista della qualità, questa lampadina è purtroppo penalizzata da un prezzo che ritengo eccessivo (circa 35 euro su amazon) probabilmente dovuto alla scarsa diffusione di questo tipo di attacco a baionetta nel mercato italiano.

Le voci vine redigono costantemente recensioni che possano essere utili per altri clienti e per chiunque voglia sapere qualcosa in più sul prodotto.
