Max is a typical overprotective single dad. His life revolves around his daughter Sadie and they live a comfortable life. All that is set to change when Max needs a temporary nanny for his daughter. Enter Rachel, she works at the local diner, makes the best pies and has a rapport with Sadie. She also needs the money the nanny job will bring. Even though slotting into their lives is easy, resisting the attraction between herself and Max isn’t. When the sparks fly, will Max have the courage to trust Rachel with both his and Sadie’s hearts? This is an enjoyable slow burning, heart warming story of life and love.

The Lumberjack's Nanny is pretty typical of the genre but has enough going for it to still be quite entertaining. There were a couple of scenes that had me rolling my eyes but overall was well-paced.

The shining star has to be Sadie. She is the perfect mix of cuteness and sass that I loved! The connection and banter between Sadie and Rachel made this book for me. At one point I really liked Max, then I didn't, then I did again. I think Rachel was too quick to forgive since he didn't give an actual apology for his actions. She instantly went from being mad to being supportive and sympathetic even though he's the one who left without any explanation.

Rachel works in a diner saving all her money so she could buuy it when her boss retires. Max is a single father with a cute daughter Rachel likes. When Rachel learned about Max needing a nanny she offered to step in and work her diner schedule around it. He needed the help and she needed the extra money since her boss had moved up when he was retiring. Sparks fly between them from the moment she starts. Its not long before they give into temptation. However things change when someone from Max's pat reappears. Will this end things between them? Can they find a way to be together?

This is a great story and once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I couldn’t get past page 88 of the book. He likes her but talks down to her about if she can watch his kid. She is being disrespectful about his concerns and wants regarding his kid. They were both rude to each other and I couldn’t get past that.
