Bought this to help with fitting skirting and architrave, as it's not the easiest thing to measure up for when you are going into corners!
The LD030P accuracy varies from less than 1mm to around 4mm- but it ALWAYS over reads. I had to buy a class 1 tape measure too, so I could check its readings...
None the less, a useful tool, and very easy to use. The area function saves a lot of time too.
Update 30/6/17- returned this unit via my nearest service agent, and it replaced with a new unit. The new one is spot on regarding accuracy, but the laser isn't emitted from the device parallel with the body, so you have to tilt the device slightly. Quite tricky over any distance over a couple of metres. Methinks Makita have some quality assurance issues in their manufacturing process!
