De mascara was niet geseald, dat vind ik vreemd. Bij gebruik lijkt het alsof er nauwelijks tot geen mascara aan de borstel zit. Toch is het resultaat wel oké. Maar ik weet niet helemaal wat ik ervan denken moet...

Do not buy - arrived twice without any packaging or tamper seal. Just loose opened mascara. Unhygienic and could contain anything. No way or knowing if it’s a genuine product or what has been put in there. First time thought it was a genuine error but was replaced by amazon and arrived exactly the same. Buyer beware!

This is the worst thing I have ever received, in fact I don’t think I have ever complained before during all the years I have bought from you. I bought this for my wife, it is dried up and obviously has been Opened and used for a long time. I know it was very cheap but I did think it would have some life in it still! Sorry about that but I thought you ought to know

I've been using this mascara for at least 5 years despite trying at least 10 other types of mascara.

Why do I love this one so much: it's water based so easy to remove without needing make up remover. the brush makes it really easy to apply and it makes my lashes look both fuller and longer, it lasts through out the day provided you bear in mind it's not waterproof.

Downsides: only one is that it's not waterproof so if you cry, you'll have massive panda eyes.

If you're like me and make sure that you create a line along the skin at the base of the lashes, with this mascara i can just a slightly damp cotton bud to remove any blurring i create accident. not many other mascaras that are that easy to fine tune or remove but last well at the same time

This is a simple but effective product that just works with no real problems. For the cheap price this mascara works surprisingly well.

With the brush, the mascara is easy to apply as it goes on evenly over your lashes with no trouble. After applying, it lasts and should look good over the whole day. It’s every effective at not only thickening and lengthening your lashes, but also separating them for more natural look. Importantly, there is no need to worry about smudging like you get with some other products. Also, as the product is water based it is also easy to remove at the end of the day.

Something worth noting is that the mascara does not arrive sealed like it would be in a store, so there is a chance of leaking in shipping.

Overall, you can’t fault this product, especially for the price. Would recommend.

Great mascara for thicker longer lashes

I am a mascara fanatic. I want a mascara that will give me crazy long and thick lashes, won't clump, won't streak or flake, and won't look spidery. I want one that also comes off easily when I want to remove it and doesn't irritate my eyes. I'm not asking for much, am I? I have found a number of mascaras that I liked but that didn't fit all my criteria. After hearing about and reading reviews of Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, I had to try it.

I bought it and was very eager to try it. The tube is thick but the brush is a dense comb. It isn't a huge brush but it is fairly substantial with short comb-like bristles. The formula is not watery or messy. I didn't apply primer the first time I tried it because I wanted to see how the mascara performed alone.

The first coat was decent, nothing special. Three coats in, I did have longer looking eyelashes. They were darker and a bit thicker. I didn't get a lot of volume with the mascara which is often the case with me. I have straight, medium length lashes that are thin and need to be plumped up. This mascara did give me enough volume so that my lashes didn't look like spidery sticks. However, I did not look like I had false lashes on nor did I find the mascara to be that much better than a couple of cheaper mascaras

This mascara doesn't flake throughout the day and it holds up well. If it gave me a bit more volume, I would really like this. It is clump free even with numerous coats which is a real plus.

The mascara washes off with my facial cleanser or eye makeup remover and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I do think it is a BIT pricey for the results but I have enjoyed the overall effect and immediate longer lash look.

In all, I am going with 4 stars. I wasn't blown away but it takes a LOT to blow me away and only a couple of mascaras ever have (but clearly not enough for me to stop looking for even better results). For the price point, this mascara delivers well although I think it's a tad pricey compared to other drugstore mascaras that work well like Covergirl's LashExact which is around $7.00 and gives comparative results. I would go with 3.5 stars but can't so I went to 4. If you are looking for a mascara that lengthens, darkens, and adds some volume and that isn't clumpy, this is a good choice. It may be a GREAT choice for those who don't demand so much from a mascara like I do.

I have tried countless drugstore mascaras and more expensive brands like Dior and Benefit, but nothing beats the Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara. I keep coming back to it time after time. Does not irritate my eyes, relatively easy to wash off at the end of the day, does not smudge, and does a fantastic job of separating and lengthening my lashes (mascara that makes my eye lashes look like spider legs are a big no-no!)

Update: shame they keep changing the price, £5-7 is great but I won’t be buying it at £11 which is now what they have put it up to! Shame as I would have continued to buy it regularly.
This is a lovely mascara I wear make-up every single day and have tried many brands over the years, I’ll definitely buy this one again at £6 it is a good price the brush was easy to apply, it stayed on really well all day, it gave my lashes a lovely length and was easy enough to remove at the end of the day with make up remover. Would highly recommend
