I love Maybelline eye products. The mascara in this range with very similar yellow packaging but pink (not purple, pink!) writing is my holy grail – lengthening, thickening, really buildable, doesn't flake or run. It's a dream, as is the teal writing one which is the waterproof equivalent. I couldn't find any online recently so got this one instead.
I don't know whether it's the brush or the formula, but this one with the black writing on the packaging is complete rubbish. It makes all of my eyelashes clump together, but not in a thick way so that I can go in with a finer spoolie and separate them – instead it seems to make them look like they've disappeared entirely. Gives no extra length, ruins your natural lash volume, and all round looks sad and rubbish. I have no idea why they continue to sell this one when there are so many mascaras in this range that work really well. Don't waste your money, get the one with the pink or teal writing instead!

Look at my first photos. The difference between the eye on the left (with mascara applied) and the eye on the right (no mascara) is amazing.
Great packaging, I can easily spot in a bag full of make up.
