Sturdy lock, suits its purpose

I don't find the alarm to be overly sensitive as a lot of reviews have said, but the sound can be slightly muffled by covering the alarm's vent/speaker. It's worth keeping in mind disc locks are more of a deterrent than preventative measure, so the alarm is more than loud enough to deter an opportunistic thief (I don't feel it's designed to make a prepared one back off). The lock itself feels very sturdy and has the weight to back it up, but it's not too heavy. I rode 110 miles yesterday and didn't notice the extra weight in my backpack.

The siren won’t make any difference, it’s not that loud.

Works great. What I will say is that when it’s set off it’s not as loud as when you initially arm. It’s a bit sensitive too. Most of the time I set it without the siren at work as I suspect it would go off all the time outside the office. Easy to take off and put on.

Literally needs to be almost shaken for alarm to go off, At which point if you put your finger over the speaker you can muffle the sound out almost completely!

It can be a pain in the neck to find in which way to put the key in (as there is one specific way and the key has a weird shape which makes it not practical), depending on how the lock is positioned. The worse of this item is the alarm, 2 friends have it as well and ended up not using the alarm ( as I do) cause it is just far too sensitive, so you don't want to end up attracting the attention to your bike when it is parked in the city center, otherwise it defeats the purpose .

I like this style of lock. My previous disc lock was with the 6mm pin between the two bits of metal. I love that this is 14mm. I think the gap in my disc is 15 or 16mm so the rubber protection has damaged on one side (I always use the same edge through the dic).
The fact that you can just turn the lock around and it is either with an alarm or without is brilliant as I use it without when parked at the office, but when on site I always use it with the alarm.
I purchased with the monster pad lock and chain and when I do leave it outside over night I sleep very well knowing it is protected properly.

It’s the second one I’m buying as having two of these on your bike will definitely be a huge deterrent to any thief.
The lock is big, green, and has a loud (and quite sensitive) alarm, easy to spot and tell everyone not to mess with your bike.
I’m very happy with it and would 100% recommend it to everyone. It can be paired with a oxford chain or put directly on the wheel/brake disk.

when i ordered the product, i wasn,t aware it was alarmed, but that was good & easy to understand, however the shackles are too thick to go through the holes in the disc, however i did{just about} manage to attach it to one of the "spokes" of my cast wheels. all in all a good product, with useful features, also thatcham approved, but awkward if not almost impossible to use easily, very happy with it BUT??

Not bad. Mine has started to rust which has made getting the U bar into the lock a challenge. The locking mechanism is a bit fiddly sometimes, so the you need to jiggle the key around. The alarm seems to have lost it's loudness out of no where. The priming beeps are louder than the alarm. But it's a good deterant and seems strong enough.

After final getting it, After update wasn't vary updated.
Lock seems vary good, louder than i thought it would be, just beware when unlocking it. You will have to be quick as it is vary sensitive. I think it will make a excellent defense against anyone who was looking for a bike to steal. All in all im happy with it

Alarm goes off all the time, seems a waste of money

Seems sturdy and solid, gets great reviews all over the internet but the alarm feature is a pain in the backside as it generally goes off without touching the bike it, so it was a waste buying one with an alarm as I have to put it on with the alarm off as it goes off so readily. Wouldn’t recommend, the alarmed version of this lock
