Great as per always with Ring products

Bought this a few months back and have no been using it with no issues at all, I also bought the solar panel and and extra battery for it

Use it at the bottom of the garden and an iP one at the top, I will be replacing the iP camera for another of these soon.

I was a bit unsure at first but if you have good wifi i dont see there being a problem with it at all, mines been in full sun and in the frost and is still working great, I am now upto 2 ring doorbells and one camera, again i hope to buy a second one of these soon and perhaps some for the front of the house too

I think these will last well, Ring offer great support, the app is great there isnt much else to say other than yes i do pay the £8 per month subscription but i think that it is worth it for what you get and that you can basically have unlimited devices on the account too

It does exactly what we need it to do.

Due to the reviews about the camera flooding after heavy rain I fitted it as close under the gutter as I could get it to provide a bit of shelter, then I basically made a little ‘hood’ for it out of the white plastic container it came in - I cut a hole in the container and cut it to shape - popped it over the top of the camera and fed the back through the ball joint bit so it stays on - a bit of a hash job but does the trick so far 👌

The signal was poor and taking ages to load and missing motion etc - we paid £30 ish for a netgear signal booster and plugged it into the kitchen - right on the other side of the wall to the camera - now there are no signal problems!
We have quite a big ish house with thick walls so I was half expecting it anyway. I didn’t need to buy an expensive booster.
We have sky fibre unlimited broadband and to be fair our WiFi is alright - think we average about 50mps wireless, but we stream a lot of TV too and our WiFi handles it (and the ring doorbell - which didn’t need an extender) just fine.
If you’re prepared to fork out for an extender if required - it’s great 👍

We thought long and hard about this, also did some research both online and approaching someone who already owned one .
This is an ideal addition to our house . The actual ringer is the camera and it has an amazing lense it picks up the whole of our cul de sac with amazing clarity . The night vision is too exceptional clear . The vision exceeded our expectations .
We bought the camera that can link in to Ring as well as our house sits at an angle leaving an area which the doorbell can’t pick up only because it can’t go round corners ! Anyway the camera also is super clear . The complete Ring experience is the chime , Ring doorbell and camera which were very easily fitted and added by app to our smart phones and believe me we are not technically minded , so if we can set it up anyone can ! There is nothing we would like to change or add and we do feel considerably safer and secure in our home . I should add that the loudspeaker is very clear and loud so all in all it’s a 100% satisfied review from us .

Purchased this after being so impressed with my ring doorbell. This camera is great, covers my whole garden! Very sensitive to wind so had to turn down sensitivity slightly. The spotlight is so bright and perfect for lightening up the area. Easy to install. My only qualm is that the motion detection doesn’t go as far as I thought it would (I feel like the doorbell has a larger motion range). But I still really like this product, great that you can link it to the doorbell and the app.

Ring Spotlight Cam - excellent addition to the Ring Security System.

This is an excellent Ring product jwhich when triggered, has good motion sensitivity and illumination from the built in LD lights. The unit is supplied with one battery, but has the capacity for two and I would suggest that buying a second battery is worthwhile, as this reduces the frequency of recharging the batteries. A waterproof silicone white or black cover is available for the spot-cam, but not supplied by Ring; the unit is waterproof but the cover should protect the unit from weathering and any potential water ingress would be prevented. Fitting of the cover is made easier by removing with scissors, the lower section covering the clear motion detector, as this also facilitates easier changes of the battery.
Overall very pleased with this camera and it integrates well with the Ring security system, which I am very impressed with and found easy/straightforward to install.

This is a great product for keeping an eye on your house whilst out. The camera is excellent quality day and night. The security light feature is brilliant for guests arriving at night.

The only downside is that it only records for 30 seconds then if someone stays on your drive for longer it will pause for about 30 seconds and record again. I think this is to save battery life but it could mean that a burglary might be missed if it didn’t happen whilst recording was taking place. If you are watching in live view then it records for the duration so the functionally is there but the software doesn’t allow it. I have added this as a suggestion to ring so hopefully if enough people suggest it they may add it as a feature in a future software update.

Easy to install, easy to use

I bought a Ring Video Doorbell Pro, just before Christmas, and have been very pleased with it. I wanted something similar to cover the side of our house / garden, but not something that would have to be hard-wired (like the doorbell does).

This looked like the right camera to me, and I'm really pleased with it. Like all Ring devices, it comes in a nicely-designed box with all the bits and pieces you need for it. My only disappointment was that it doesn't come with interchangeable face plates (which the doorbell does) so you only have the choice of two colours, However, that's only a small issue.

This was simple to get up and running, and easy to install. I've not had any WiFi or water ingress issues, and all has worked perfectly. The picture quality is excellent, and I can set up on/off alert times for the sensor - so it doesn't go off all the time.

I also like that, via the phone app, I can remotely turn the lights (and LOUD alarm!) on. Battery life has also been excellent. I last charged it a couple of weeks ago, and its still showing c.50% left on the app.

I really can't fault it.

I absolutely love this Camera!
I own my own house but I didn't want to drill electricity into the outside of the garage and currently I have absolutely no light there so decided to buy this to try and its the best thing I ever bought, gives me sufficient light at night and records all movements where my car is which is just great! Only comes with one battery but I bought a second pair and lasted so far over 2 months just wow ! Defo recommended !
Night vision is really good and Motion detection is also great!

Got one of the ring battery cameras. Managed to break the head off 2 of the screws when i was unstalling it. But wow what a great camera. The motion detection is a bit sensative but its great that you can adjust the distance and turn certain zones off. The screwdriver in the box gurt my hand when using it so i used one of my own. I fixed it.to a wooden beam in my portch as i had read a few rewiews about people saying water got in. I get all the notificarions on my phone. It was easy to set up. Now the battery. Its good on a full charge i got just over a weeks usage before i needed to charge it and it was about 13% and took about 4 hours to be fully charged again. But there is a compartment to add a second battery so thats good and you can add a solar pannel to it aswell to keep the battery topped up. All around i would say this was a great product. And im happy ive got one.
