A good flavour for a cheaper product.

Many other Root Beers I have tasted are watery, but this one has a nice rich flavour, easily equivalent to other products costing twice as much. It's still a little more expensive than I would wish, but considering Root Beer is like gold dust in your local shops in the UK, it's not surprising.

Root Beer is one of the few things I envy Americans for, I wish it was as common in the UK shops as it is in America. I don't understand why, on the few occasions I've seen it sold in the shops here, it has flown off the shelves, so it's not unpopular.

I was a bit worried as the packaging was a bit different from the normal A&W root beer I tend to buy myself once a year as a treat, but this is still very tasty, albeit a tiny bit different from the normal A&W I get (that was more expensive than this one so thought I’d give this a go).

This A&W root beer is made in Canada (explains why half the can is in English and the other half French!), and seems to be imported direct from there. Obviously it’s not cheap - but for an imported product it’s awesome!

The root beer arrived in an Amazon box that seems to be made to fit this exact size so there was no protective packaging, which meant a few of the cans were dinged and dented, luckily I had a great delivery driver who took care of this package - I can imagine that if care isn’t taken with the box during transit, it could cause a leakage due to damage.

Anyway…

If you’ve never tried root beer (most brits haven’t), it’s like marmite (as in you’ll love it or hate it - not that it tastes like it!)

I love it - my wife hates it. She thinks it smells and tastes like antiseptic mouthwash. I think it tastes awesome - I may agree it smells a little antiseptic-y.

Just wish it was a little cheaper, and I’d have a constant supply throughout the year - although it’s nice to have it as a special treat once a year.

I suppose if I had a constant stream of it I’d probably be the size of a house! :) luckily it’s caffeine free!!!

When we go to America I tend to have a different brand, although that’s banned here in the UK due to too much of a certain additive in it!

Be warned it is a polarising smell and taste - but it’s lovely! :)

If you’re a fan of root beer, I’d definitely recommend it - if you’ve never tried it before, it might be worth trying someone else’s first as it really can be a love it or hate it drink! Of course you could always take the gamble that you may like it! :)

I buy rootbeer online as locally it is rarely available poor quality or overpriced. I feel that these are fairly priced per can. Rootbeer is like marmite in that you love it or hate it. I'm obviously in the former camp. It is very important that this drink is served cold. Warm rootbeer can have an awful taste and put the consumer off even if served at room temperature. This product served chilled has an amazing taste and is one of the best rootbeer drinks on the market [my view]. The delivery was swift and well packed.

This is the classic Root Beer and you can't really go wrong. Not something that ever took off in the UK, I remember Maccy Ds trying to sell this back in the 90s and failing miserably, Along with TAB!, hopefully it will make a return with the current love of Americana in the UK..
Value for money - not really, but its a luxury and keeps the Canadian Misses happy for a bit.

A&W’s Root Beer is still my favourite. I’ve tried other brands (Bundaberg etc) and they don’t come anywhere near A&W for flavour. The only downside is cost, as it is not a brand that is widely available in the UK, it does cost considerably more than other more well-known carbonated drinks. But still worth it as an occasional treat.

Ordered 24 cans of this Root Beer and was planning on saving it through Christmas but just checked the best before date and all cans are almost a decade out of date. When they arrived the packaging was very sloppy and falling apart and with the exception of the boxes being soaking wet somehow I was happy that the cans were intact. Not so happy anymore considering I couldn’t possibly drink this muck. I only have 1 star because it wouldn’t allow me to give less 💩
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER!!!!

Absolutely love this brand of root beer.
Some root beers can be a bit strong and quite sickly after drinking a can.
You won’t have that problem with these. Nice and refreshing. So much so that I regularly reorder.
It’s so difficult to even find root beer in England, this was a real find. Tried many many different brands but not found any to top this.

We have bought this several times now as we really like it. The only issue is that despite it being a soft drink because it has beer in the name, Amazon treat it as an alcoholic drink so only an adult can accept the delivery.
