As an occasional diy'er this is probably the best tape measure I've ever had. I was getting sick of the one I have, which is thin and buckles constantly when trying to feed out the tape, even at short distances of 30-40 cm's. The fat max was rigid even at 1.5 metres when I was using it today and the markings are big and easy to read.
The casing has an easy to grip rubber coating and an oversized clip to put on your belt (which I don't ). Apart from that, it just feels like a quality item that will last for a few years.
