Koffiemachine staat klaar om te zetten in de ochtend

Ik gebruik mijn 'switchbot pusher' om ons koffiezetapparaat alvast aan te zetten in de ochtend zodat ik met 1 druk op de knop mijn heerlijke koffie kan zetten. Deze robotvinger was de gadget die ik nog miste in mijn smarthome!

Had nog een domme Roomba, zonder schedule, dus zelf op het knopje klikken (wat vaak vergeten wordt)
Door de pusher op de Roomba te monteren, gaat deze elke nacht vanzelf aan, zonder dat ik er zelf iets voor hoef te doen.

At times you have to press a switch button multiple times to have it click. So you cant rely on it when you cant see the switch as you dont know if it succeeds.

The tape is so bad, it is not sticky at all and it looks cheap and feels like cheap. If the price would be $10, that would be okay. But not now

I use this for my PC so I don't need fancy coding to make it "smart".
Same for my tv. Just the placement of the bot needs some practice for sensitive switches.

Only thing that maybe could use an upgrade is a mode that presses with more/less force.

I used this switch for the only light / switch I wasn't otherwise able to turn into a smart device and it works like a charm. The adhesive mounting scared me a little at first but it's been holding up really well.

玄関灯と門灯のスイッチに取り付け時間が来たら自動でオンオフするよう設定しました
朝寝坊してお昼頃まで門灯がつきっぱなし！なんて事とは無縁になりました(^∇^)
夜の帰宅時に自動で家の明かりが灯っているのもすごく気持ちがよいです(^^)
張り付けるだけのお手軽設置なのに満足度高いです

あとガレージの電動シャッターのスイッチにも取り付けました
開ボタンと閉ボタンで二つのswitchbotが必要かと思いましたが
工作したら一つのswitchbotで開閉できました(^^)d

SwitchBotHubでネットに繋げば不在時でも遠隔操作で開閉できて
宅配物を入れてもらう事ができます(^∇^)

デジタル機器に弱い人でも工作しやすい物理動作は面白いですね

アレクサで操作できる機能を設定してみました
「アレクサぁ、シャッターＯＦＦしてぇー」
とか言うだけでシャッターが閉まります！
まるで未来みたい！便利！
でもオンオフで指示しないと、開けてとか閉めてだと認識してくれません(笑)

First world problems and solutions

My rented property has an archaic immersion water heater - a relic from a bygone age. This immersion heater, through some unfathomable and mysterious ancient power is set on an Economy 7 timer; it comes on sometime around 1am and turns off at 7am.

Having the entire tank heated up only to cool down and then reheat all night long is a huge waste of electricity, I really only need it heated up fully once before the mysterious and undetectable timer goes off. So what options did I have?

The only solution I could think of was to wake up at, say 5am, switch the heater on and go back to sleep. The idea of doing this, even knowing the money I would save was abhorrent. 5am?! Everyday? No thank you! It seemed as though the issue was unsolvable, a First World Problem, without solution.

Then, while Googling in vain hope for a solution, much like the ape in the famous opening scenes of 2001: A Space Odyssey, I stumbled across a monolith of sorts and was inspired, and in turn discovered the Switchbot.

With this simple tool, a ridiculous robotic analogue appendage, I can now have a button pushed down at a certain time instead of having to suffer the unthinkable first world torment of having my precious sleep disrupted for 30 seconds an hour before I need to get up.

This is the equivalent of the ape in 2001 creating an elaborate high tech machine with Bluetooth capabilities to swing a bone and wack some animals. It feels such technological overkill for the most brutish and simple issue, like creating a fully conscious AI just to make sure that you get a 'proper' cup of tea made for you.

If I haven't made it clear already this is AMAZING. Granted I'm not using it to it's full extent, it can after all work as part of a broader integrated smart home system, and can pull as well as push etc. But for my first world problem this is the PERFECT first world solution. Genius.

It do it's job BUT It says that works with Alexa, but it isn't clear that you also need to buy their Hub (which will cost you plus 40 pounds) to do so. BE AWARE to not get the same disappointment that I had. I have the Echo Plus which has a built in hub but seems you need THEIR hub to connect.

Ces petits modules robots sont fantastiques! Ils peuvent actionner n'importe quel interrupteur, à bascule ou poussoir.
Il faut auparavant acheter le mini-Hub afin de les connecter à internet, via une application que vous installerez sur votre smartphone.
Ensuite, on associe les swicthbots au mini-hub et on les installe sur les interrupteurs que l'on souhaite contrôler à distance.

Pour mon utilisation, j'ai installé 4 switchbots sur les interrupteur de mes volets roulants afin de les ouvrir/fermer à distance depuis mon iPhone. Et cela fonctionne! Il faut penser à aller dans les paramètre de chaque switchbot et activer la fonction "Cloud Service".
Par contre on ne peut pas définir une position intermédiaire. C'est donc soir ON, soit OFF. Mais on peut définir un temps de pression, genre il reste appuyé pendant 3,4,... ou 10 secondes.
On peut définir facilement une heure d’exécution, comme ouvrir les volets à 7h.

Il est surtout compatible avec Google Home, Alexa et Siri Raccourci. Donc moyen de créer des scénarios en fonction de vos envies!

Dans tous les cas, ce produit est assez magique et permet de rendre une installation classique en installation domotique à moindre coût.

Côté autonomie, il y a une pile CR2 3V dans chaque switchbot, qui lui donne une autonomie d'une année, suivant votre utilisation évidemment... Après on trouve des lots de piles de ce type sur Amazon à moindre coût.

Sinon il arrive que lorsqu’on lance l’application, il ne détecte pas les accessoires. Dans ce cas, il faut fermer et relancer l’appli.

Por si solo no es compatible con Alexa

Importante, tienes que saber lo que compras. Es un pulsador con una pila que se comunica con el móvil vía bluetooth. Por lo tanto el por si solo no es compatible con Alexa (eso es confuso en el anuncio ). Para que sea compatible con Alexa o a través de internet necesitas otro dispositivo de la marca que tiene que estar echufado a la corriente y conectado al wifi. Ese dispositivo puede ser el HUB o el HUB mini. En mi caso el HUB mini hace de puente entre Alexa y el pulsador. Lo instalé en el salón a una distancia correcta del pulsador (recuerda que es bluetooth no puede estar muy lejos). El HUB mini además funciona como mando universal infrarrojos, por lo que además de servir de puente tsmbien te sirve para controlar con Alexa cualquier aparato con mando a distancia de infrarrojos (el televisor por ejemplo)
