Voor het werken met airbrushes gebruik ik hoofdzakelijk acrylverf van Vallejo. Om de verf flesjes netjes op te kunnen bergen (en makkelijker terug te vinden) heb ik dit opbergrek aangeschaft. Het is eenvoudig in elkaar te zetten, wel met de nodige voorzichtigheid om schade te voorkomen. Het is aan te raden om hier en daar wat hout;ijm aan te brengen zodat het geheel steviger wordt. Ik vind dit een prima aankoop en kan nu sneller de juiste kleuren vinden.

It's good, but be aware of a design 'flaw'

This is a nice clean laser cut, easy to put together MDF paint rack, and despite other reviews saying it was a little flimsy, once it is together it's quite solid. I would strongly advise a few blobs of wood glue on the tabs however, as although it fits together snugly, I wouldn't try and move it once it had a load of paint bottles in the holes. And so I come to the design 'flaw' as I see it, and why, for me, I had to knock off two stars. There are cut outs at either end of this rack which suggest ideal 'handholds' to be able to pick the rack up, complete with all the paints in place, and move it to another room/table whatever. So far so good, and quite useful I'd say. But if you had chosen to use the paint brush holes to store your brushes, then picking the rack up would mean all your brushes would simply fall out! The addition of another strip of 3mm MDF to support/stop the brushes falling out would not have made the production of this product any more expensive or difficult to put together. If this rack will never be moved from its place on your paint table then it's great - but c'mon designers, really, don't add 'hand holds' suggesting carry-ability and then when you pick it up, your expensive Kolinsky sable brushes fall over the floor. Luckily I discovered this flaw, as I was gluing my rack together, so hopefully this review will pre-warn others.

Decent stand, might require some extra pre-assembly work

I bought this stand as it can hold my Vallejo dropper bottles plus brushes, and has a few larger slots for my non-vallejo paints.

On assembly I found I needed to slightly increase the sizes of the slots in the end plates with a scalpel, as they just would not slot together as they came (I did try them the on opposite ends etc with no joy). I don't know how solidly it would hold together without glue, so I used a little wood glue on each tab to ensure it held together if lifted or knocked.

One thing to note - the brush holes don't have a base to them, so if you have any very narrow handled brushes in it and lift the stand to move it, they will just fall all the way through. I glued some sturdy card below the holes just above the bottom so I can lift and move the stand when not in use without brushes falling out.

With glue (and the extra bits of card) it is a solid paint stand and doesn't wobble at all.

Modellers love a challenge.
Tell them something is really tricky and the're right on it.
Yes, it is a tight fit , but with a bit of filing here and some shaving there, plus a light tap with a sledge hammer -
only joking - a rubber faced mallet - and that's another model completed - Brilliant!
One gets such a feeling of accomplishment afterwards and let's face it, no matter how many paint bottle stands one has, there are never enough and this is a high quality product.
To be fair to Vallejo, the paint brush holes are 2 sized, with the larger hole on top, so that should solve the problem with brushes having a wide middle , but, I agree, not for the thinnest ones which would slide through if the stand is moved.
As has been suggested, gluing a piece of cardboard to the base will create a solution and also, I have found, 2 useful slots for, say a small notebook, decals etc. I cut out the fronts of the smaller model boxes and store them there to remind me of the finished article, even though I never achieve it.
I can see why this is an Amazon recommended product.

Very pleased with my purchase, perfect for organising your paints and keeping your workspace tidy. I do have a few complaints however;

1) Very fiddly to put together, the pre-cut assembly holes are very tight, to the point the wood was flexing quite severely as I tried to slot the different parts together, to be fair the pieces did all hold up to the strain, but I was worried about breakages.

2) The holes for your paintbrushes are quite small, and over half of my brushes do not fit. True, paintbrushes come in all shapes and sizes, so it would be unreasonable to expect it to hold all types of brush, however I was really sad to find that not a single of my Vallejo brushes (due to their triangular shape) were compatible with the stand, if any brushes were going to fit, you would expect it to be those.

3) Despite the tight holes, it is not particularly stable once assembled, and you will definitely need a little woodglue to hold it all together once assembled, especially if you plan to move it around.

Slightly fiddly to assemble and, as other reviewers have said, some wood glue is a good idea.

Obviously works fine for Vallejo paints but not so great for Citadel, as their shorter pots drop too far into the holes, leaving just the lid protruding - I'll probably end up putting a 1cm thick piece of wood underneath to lift them up.

My gripes relate to the paintbrush holders. All the holes are the same size and are too small for my larger dry brushes, and the smaller holes on the level below, where the butt of the handle is supposed to go, is too big and some of my thinner brushes go straight through. I'll fix the former with a drill - there's enough space for at least four larger holes, and I sorted the latter by putting some tape underneath the bottom holes.

Overall, reasonably happy - I do like my stuff organised.
