This is the second time I buy tesa mosquito net; first time on Amazon. First, the box was slightly damaged but i didn't pay any attention to that. Then, I open the seal and say the net and the sticky tape. There was no mini- scissors to cut the net ( which came in the box the first time I bought this product). Then, the tape is not good and is already peeling off the window and it doesn't even have the tesa seal. I believe this is not original. you can see the old product has the cutter and tape with tesa logo and above tape was part of the new product ordered on Amazon.

Bluffant et magique. MAIS pas en blanc !

Je mets 4 étoiles car franchement blanc c'est moche. J'ai l'impression d'avoir étendu un bas de ma grand-mère. J'avais lu "ça fait plus lumineux" non. Ca se voit à l'intérieur, et ça se voit à l'extérieur. Si la finition est mauvaise. C'est flag. Et ça gâche la vue et les couleurs. En plus elle coûte 3e plus cher ! Par contre en noir elle est bluffante ! On ne la voit pas, la couleur permet l'erreur de finition et elles sont d'une simplicité déconcertante pour les gens comme moi qui ont deux mains gauche. Difficulté supplémentaire j'ai dû les installer à l'extérieur car j'ai des fenêtres qui s'ouvrent en intérieur et au 2e étage donc la finition pour coller vers l'intérieur et ne pas laisser d'espace ouvert c'était chaud ! Et je peux quand même fermer les volets. Elle se tend hyper facilement. Est de bonne facture, invisible (en noir !) même depuis l'extérieur on ne voit pas la différence avec les fenêtres non équipées. Bref que du positif ! Le velcro est hyper simple à mettre, faites juste gaffe après 3 moustiquaires j'avais un peeling des doigts offert à force de lisser sur le faux bois. Je recommande sans hésiter !! J'espère juste que ça résistera aux vents forts que nous avons parfois.

Absolute life saver when you live by water!

This is an absolute life saver. The white colour isn’t invisible but it’s pretty close, so you barely notice it’s there. I used this for my windows so I could open them in the evening and leave the lights on, without attracting flies. The mesh is 10/10 for stopping houseflies and mosquitos, and maybe 8/10 for stopping other insects. I find that some tiny midgies do still find there way in, but it is such a vast improvement on life without the mesh that I don’t care. The only down side is the adhesion - the tape doesn’t seem to do very well with variations in heat (which is a bit annoying in England!). I’ve had the mesh up for a week now and since we had highs of 26 degrees and lows of 14 degrees - the tape has peeled away from the window and doesn’t want to stick back. I’ve fixed this by using command strips which are much stronger - but it was a pain to do and required quite a few packs of strips. This isn’t the end of the world, but ideally the whole product would be fit for purpose and I wouldn’t have needed to buy extra bits. Still recommend this product (but also buy command strips to save yourself a headache!)

Works well, but very basic

So i'll start by saying these do the job they are intended for. Flying insects in the house drives me potty, but in Summer, you need the windows open. I live near water so there is an abundance of flying creatures which seem to love an open window. Once installed, ive had my windows open constantly with no unwanted visitors. So from that perspective alone, great buy, that did exactly what i wanted.

Its a very basic concept though, which is probably over priced and looks a little cheap. Its a simple piece of mesh fabric, with a small roll of velcro tape. You cut the tape to size and stick to the frame surrounding the window. Once the velcro surrounds the window, you cut the mesh to size and simply stick it to the velcro to cover the window. Mesh allows airflow, whilst blocking most other items from entering. To close the window, just peel the mesh from the bottom strip of velcro to allow to reach the handle. Then when re-opening, just re-seal the mesh to velcro. As above, looks a bit meh and is very basic, but its done exactly what i wanted, so i cant really complain.

Like the title says: the dimensions are actually 1.10m x 1.10m, NOT 1.30m x 1.10m. I was able to get somebody to cut and sew the net to fit my window, which has the dimensions 1.20m x 0.5m. It fits pretty well with the sew.

As far as the look of my net goes from the outside: I walked out of my house a small distance and from where I looked, upwards, it sort of looks like clingfilm (saran wrap), with the sew line. If the sew line wasn't there it'd look pretty decent.

I won't deduct anymore than a star for the false dimensions because it seems to work fine anyways.

I cleaned my window with a slightly damp dish cloth and a dry microfibre cloth, before using the tape. The tape sticks well and the net attaches to the tape pretty well, kind of like Velcro.

Update: After using it for about half a year I can safely say it works really well. I definitely recommend it, I haven't had a mosquito or bee come in through my window in months. Just make sure it fits your window properly!

bit too small for my 100cm/1m window

it's a good product. but like one of the reviews it is not exactly 100cm/1m it's like 95cm which is quite a lot of space. I had to cut some excess from the side and place it on top where the excess is but I have to use tape etc. if you window is exactly 100cm/1m I'd suggest getting the bigger size. fine if it like 90cm tho prob. it doesn't take into account window opening at all lol. it's fine but just some advice.

I really enjoyed putting up this window screen, it works great. I wish the screen had tinier holes but I think it's still the standard type of screen anyway, most of them have the same size holes. I've been using it for a week or so and not a single bug has gone through it. Because I have a window that opens outward I needed my window screen to be one I can detach, so I bought stick-on Velcro tape to go with this, and I used the strap that comes with the box for just the permanent edge.

I bought this as I grew tired of insects flying into my room at night.

Velcro tape can be absolute hell to remove so I did not use it. I decided to get some blu-tack in white and create a line of it around my window, and press the net into that line. At intervals around the frame, I then added extra blu-tack on top so it would hold better. It's not too difficult to lift up a small area to open and close the window. Keeps everything but the tiny tiny flies out and works great for the price.

This is a great product that does exactly what it is supposed to do - it has stopped any flies, moths or other insects and has meant we can have the windows wide open without having to worry about anything coming in.

It's very easy to install. After a few months of use the edges of the fabric are starting to look frayed where there has been repeated removal of the net from the tape to open and close the window but this does not effect the function and I would expect this over time. Good value for money product.

Tricky to install but effective when up

I previously had this really easy magnetic window screen so compared to that I did find this quite tricky to install. Applying the adhesive was fine, it was sticking the mesh to the adhesive that was as struggle, trying to line it up right and then also cutting the mesh was really hard, scissors werent super effective but all I had really. I am pleased with the finished product, it being white means it lets a ton of light into my room, I am able to open occasionally lift up the mesh and reapply when faffing w the window. overall am pleased (:

I had to order a new set of nets since the previous ones were so frail and prone to rip but ordered two of these and they are so much better, much stronger and quality net. A bonus that you can choose a size closer to what you need and not just getting a huge 6ft net to begin with. Only small gripe is they don't come with a cutting tool like some others do.
