Placebo effect - and I want to belive that it will help!

It is better thank the cheap disk locks what are easily breakable if the kids screw something in them from the side. I lost one disk lock like this, so I bought this one.

This is a big guy. For me it is a bit too big. I can not send trough on my brake disk on my Honda PCX, so I just attach it to the wheel.
14mm steel plus some rubber insulation on the shackle. Check if you have enough space for this.

This way I can turn the whell around if I arrange the lock on the wheel each turn, but I don't think that the kids can ride away. Well, they may tape it in a "safe" position, but it is time and that is what we try to get.

It can secure chains too as a padlock, so it may be used like that in the future.

The keys are some funny "smile" shape creatures. Keep the spares in a safe place, I don't think that you can make a copy easily.

My lock is not so sensitive, what I like.

The 100dB sounds good but only on paper. I was worry that it will blow my head off, but actually on a busy street it is bearly audible.
It beeps 2 short as a notice and after alarms for 10s with all the 100dB.
It would be nice if after the notice, no more movements, the lock would go back to sleep and not making any alarm.

If you do not want to use the alarm, you just put the shackle back on the other way around and it is disabled.

It is big and yellow, and hopefully looks too complicated to chop it off and they maybe skip your bike.
For me it is a bit like a toy or something. I guess it is storng but the yellow plastic cover just remind me to cheap plastic coated bike accessories.

First impressions; a very weighty heavy duty lock, bigger than what I thought. The large bright yellow lock hanging of your front disc is enough as a deterrent in itself, showing from 100 feet away it’s locked up. Definitely feels like it can withstand abuse and vandalism. You can choose to arm the lock with the alarm or not by inserting the u bar in either way. If you’re looking to buy this product mainly because of the alarm functionality, than I would suggest getting one of oxfords other locks which will be much louder. This alarm is noticeable but not ear piercing loud. However for me this is perfect.

I don't find the alarm to be overly sensitive as a lot of reviews have said, but the sound can be slightly muffled by covering the alarm's vent/speaker. It's worth keeping in mind disc locks are more of a deterrent than preventative measure, so the alarm is more than loud enough to deter an opportunistic thief (I don't feel it's designed to make a prepared one back off). The lock itself feels very sturdy and has the weight to back it up, but it's not too heavy. I rode 110 miles yesterday and didn't notice the extra weight in my backpack.

Not bad. Mine has started to rust which has made getting the U bar into the lock a challenge. The locking mechanism is a bit fiddly sometimes, so the you need to jiggle the key around. The alarm seems to have lost it's loudness out of no where. The priming beeps are louder than the alarm. But it's a good deterant and seems strong enough.

Lock seems vary good, louder than i thought it would be, just beware when unlocking it. You will have to be quick as it is vary sensitive. I think it will make a excellent defense against anyone who was looking for a bike to steal. All in all im happy with it

This lock is just about the strongest you get through a disc brake. It's easy to use and the alarm is very easy to arm. However I did have a problem with the alarm going off unexpectedly. I played around and tested it and believe the problem is caused when the loop touches the disc where the insulation ends. Now I know that, the lock works well.

It’s a good lock. I also added a lanyard to show it was connected.
Sometimes the alarm goes off before u can unlock it. And it’s not that loud.
That said it’s a deterrent and that’s what I want. So over all happy. And as usual great price from amazon

It's a good lock, very sturdy and dramatic improvement over small disc type locks. it would take several portable saw blades to cut the lock off and the battery would probably die before. The only problem is the alarm function sets off when you are unlocking the device, which at 5am upsets the neighbours. Other than that it's very good would prefer the alarm to sound for like a few minutes instead of the 10 seconds but that wouldn't suit everyone. Oh and don't forget to get a visual cable for it as one doesn't with it.

I've been using this lock for over 3 months now and have had only minor issues with it. When the alarm rings, it rings loudly. Yet even during a storm (and under a rain cover of course) The alarm did not ring out whatsoever. Then i'd smack it when trying to unlock it and the alarm still rings so it's clearly working.

My only complaints would be that the key doesn't always fit correctly, making unlocking it a little tedious if you're in a hurry. That, and the metal bar will rust very quickly.

It is a good lock, looks really solid and does the job well.
Dont like the initial pip noise to let you know is on, it is to loud so if you planing taken you bike early or late hours you might consider that unless you dont want wake up your neighbours.
Also the time the alarm goes on it is bit to quick, you really in a rush to open it otherwise you get hit with 110db.
